THE FIRST DEEP UNDERGROUND HARDCORE PODCAST TOMORROW, REBLOG.
So yeah everybody knows this already, just forgot to post about it. Final show is THE ACACIA STRAIN/BWP/TRC/MARTYR DEFILED and it will be off the chain.
Yo we’re gonna be doing a podcast soon, and see where it goes. As part of it, we’d like to play some tracks and stuff so it’s more than just us bullshitting for half an hour. So, if you’re in a band and want us to play one of your tunes, email it with a short intro of you band and links to sites/blogs etc to northerngritzine@gmail.com
If you have a label make sure it’s cool with them we’ve got no money and lose money doing this thing so can’t have any shit with labels.
GO!

London quintet Last Witness are a familiar name within Hardcore, having previously put out two records that have since attracted a lot of hype. Their latest release ‘Mourning After’ has been heavily anticipated by both big and small ‘zines and fans alike, so when I heard I could download tomorrow’s release today from Holy Roar, I decided to see if one of my personal favourite bands would continue to impress.

Unless you’ve been asleep here in Leeds, you’ll have noticed Hardships making a greater impression upon the local Hardcore scene; opening the recent TDONfest and playing a number of decent slots around the North. I must admit I’ve been listening to their E.P for a while now, and never really got round to giving it the coverage it deserves, so here goes…
NEVER DONE THIS BEFORE, SOME PICS FROM THE SHOW ON SUNDAY.
I’M NOT A PHOTOGRAPHER AS YOU CAN SEE.

After staying fairly quiet on the live review front, I decided to go down to our favourite venue on Sunday night to check out a bunch of bands I’d never heard of. I decided also, to make the mistake of trying to take some pictures of the show (something I’ve never done before) to try and bring this blog into the 21st century. The photos were to say the least, desperate. The bands however, killed it, and in their own different ways.
Check this once it’s in full swing!
A bit different to what we’ve head from them on record before, heavier, more mature. Get on it.

We headed down to this show last month in the midst of a load of A level exams, which probably had some influence on why a review never got written up. However, Damian (big up to him and Richard for putting the show on!) reminded me, and my social life’s pretty much non - existent, so I’ve got nothing else to do on a Saturday night.
